HDMI Splitters and Switches

What's the best HDMI cable to use with my HDMI splitter that I got off eBay for the knock-down price of £35? I keep getting picture breakup and I don't think the picture quality is as good as when I connect one TV direct to my Sky+HD Digibox.

Allan

The quality of the HDMI splitter is as important as the quality of the HDMI cables - if not more so. People make the mistake of buying the cheapest, nastiest splitter available and then spend lots more money on "the best cables" in an attempt to cure problems that are caused by the cheap splitter!

Make sure that the splitter system is powered. In other words, make sure it is NOT trying to draw power from the HDMI sockets in the equipment as this can cause problems.

A self-powered, good quality, HDMI splitter will provide a strong, clean signal that will not be degraded by a poor cable as much as the signal from a poorly designed splitter.
