![]() On a Cassegrain dish, the LNB sits behind the dish. The satellite signal reflected by the dish is concentrated by that red reflector at the centre and channeled down the tube directly into the LNB. This system makes a "Cassegrain" dish more efficient than an ordinary dish and you don't have to worry about rain collecting on the LNB cap! It can't happen. The dish is small and easy to carry and store away when not required. | Very compact and easy to store, this is an ideal satellite dish for mobile use. Although it only measures 40cm in diameter, the "Cassegrain" design dish has the performance of a 55cm ordinary dish and can be used in France (not the far south) and the UK (as far north as Carlisle in the UK) to receive most Sky programmes. Please refer to the relevant satellite footprints. The dish itself mounts onto a base unit which can be simply placed on a table or clamped to a shelf or step. If preferred, the dish can be removed from its base and clamped to a pole, or tripod mount. Comes with a 'U' bracket but see 'Easy-Mount', below. It's suitable for use with both analogue and digital transmissions and, thanks to its built-in elevation scale, is remarkably easy to line up with the satellite.
| Will the Multimo work behind a pane of glass in...? It's roughly equivalent to a minidish. If a minidish works behind your window, then the Multimo should. Please therefore try a minidish before ordering a Multimo. We do not recommend it for use north of Leeds or south of Paris because you will probably not receive ALL programmes. This is not usually a major problem in a mobile home but it's a nuisance at home! | Or as an Indoor satellite Dish ! This dish is often installed for indoor use behind a window because of its small size. Click HERE for more information. Twin-output version supports SKY+ or two single-tuner digital satellite receivers (including standard UK Sky Digibox). 40cm (equiv. to 55cm) dish with universal LNB Single-output Twin-output Supports SKY+ and HD | ||

| Although the Multimo dish comes with a "U" bracket, this easy-mount unit enables the Multimo to be quickly and easily removed and put back without having to undo the bracket itself. The bracket can be attached to a tripod, ladder or pole and left in position as it is completely weatherproof. | ||

|
| Using the same technology as the Multimo, the Arcon MULTI "Cassegrain" dish is said to have the performance of an 80cm dish yet measures just 57cm across. This makes it more suitable than the "Multimo" for use in areas near the edge of a satellite's footprint. The ARCON MULTI can be mounted on a tripod or pole and can be used with any satellite receiver. A twin-output LNB (D2257) version for Sky+ or Sky-HD is available (below). Also suitable for freesat. | At just 30cm in diameter this is the smallest satellite dish currently available but it's able to pick up SKY in southern England (south of Manchester) and much of northern France and some other satellite transmissions further afield (dependent on signal strength). Please refer to the relevant satellite footprints. This is the dish for you if size is a problem but the signal is strong. The dish is mounted on a ball joint which, in turn, is on a suction base. A pole clamp is also included which can be used with a tripod, a ladder or any suitable pole. The suction foot gives great flexibility when setting up the dish. It can be securely mounted on most smooth flat or slightly curved surfaces such as a vehicle's bonnet, roof or windscreen. The dish can even be attached to a side window (glass only). If the satellite signal is strong enough, it can also "see" through plastic windows and awnings. Because of its small size the "Kerstan Mini" dish is especially suitable for use on boats and in situations where the satellite may be partially obscured by branches, rigging or other obstacles. It's suitable for use with both analogue and digital transmissions and, because of its small size, is very easy to line up with the satellite. Suitable for digital satellite receivers including Sky (and Sky+, SkyHD, Freesat+ if you order the twin-output LNB version) | ||
![]() | Don't forget to order your satmeter if you are using your dish with a mobile home or narrowboat. You'll need this to align your dish on the satellite 36 thousand kilometers away!

| The Status 315 is a typical "omnidirectional" aerial. This means that it picks up signals (including interference) from all directions. It also means that it has zero gain because, by definition, gain increases as the focus (in one direction) increases. Are you following me so far? Then you'll understand why we don't stock aerials such as this. As a comparison, the Status 530/10 is a "directional antenna" and has a stated gain of 7dB. Unfortunately, the manufacturers don't care to tell us whether this is dBd or dBi so my guess is that it's 7dBi. In that case, we must subtract 2.2, which gives us 4.8dBd. To make a comparison, a typical £5 "contract aerial" as used on most new houses will have a gain of around 8dBd. (The deciBell is a logarithmic unit so you can say that the signal strength will double for every 6dB increase). It's getting a bit technical isn't it? Suffice to say that the Status 530/10 is a very low gain aerial. OK, it has a built-in amplifier, which will certainly help if you have a long cable run (you probably haven't) and may help a little bit if the signal is fractionally less than "strong". It won't help with a medium or weak signal because all it will have to amplify is a very "noisy" signal. That means more "noise" and no reception. Of course this is all theory and you must go on actual results. If you've had excellent results from a weak transmitter, please speak up. I have friends who tell me that the "Diginova" aerial from Televes works very well for strong to medium signals. Again, it is a relatively low-gain aerial with a built-in amplifier, all in a pretty plastic housing. And it includes a built-in radio aerial, which is kinda neat. Because we've had good reports, we stock the Diginova. But read on ... The famous Diginova aerial by Televes | |||
|
| If you want something that looks different and has a built-in 13dB amplifier (Margin Reduction Device) then this is it! Click to read manufacturer's information. It incorporates a UHF Yagi type aerial with 10 elements and a Band 3 (DAB and FM) aerial consisting of a printed dipole, both connected to an MRD. | ||
![]() | To separate Radio and TV signals (if required) you'll need a V24-310 FM+DAB+UHF triplexer.
... Personally, I'd save my money and buy a scratty-looking "Vision V10-040". It's a log-periodic antenna with a relatively low gain (a little over 8dBd on a good day). But, unlike a "yagi" aerial, the gain is consistent across the frequency band. It's a true "wideband" aerial and it's quite long. But it has no reflector panel so it doesn't take up a lot of room, stored flat. This also means that its wind resistance is relatively low. It has good interference-rejection properties. It doesn't (usually) need an amplifier. In my practical tests it works where the TV signal is as low as 30dBuV/m. (You can look up the predicted signal for any UK location on the "wolfbane" web site. It's usually very pessimistic in terms of recommended aerial, however, so go by the signal strength.) Of course, if you like to have your antenna encased in plastic, you won't like the "skeletal" look of the V10-040, so see "Diginova", above.

Note: these aerials are also available as kits for "gable end" or "loft" mounting. Requires a cable with "F" plug fitted. Please order from our cable page. | Wideband log-periodic aerial by "Vision" works in any area with a strong to medium signal. More efficient and cheaper than most "caravan" aerials that you can buy at Leisure Sales centres. No bulky reflector so it's easy to pack. Supplied with a U-bolt for fitting to a pole of up to 2" diameter. 15 pairs of dipole elements. V10-030 Supplied ready-assembled in a box. Similar to Diginova and Maxview B2002 but has more elements (higher gain). 7dBd gain. V10-040 Dimensions: 50.5" (1.28m) long x 12" (30cm) wide x 3" (8cm).

Centre connection is positive polarity. DC inserter connects anywhere between amplifier and aerial input of TV/receiver.
