Mac/PC Batteries

Replacement 3.6 volt Lithium battery cell for all iMacs and most other Macintosh computers. If in doubt, don't ask us because we don't know what you've got inside your Mac - please look at the battery type used in your Mac before ordering. The cells may be marked with a lot number and the date of final inspection. Please note that this is not a "sell-by" date.

Disconnect mains power to computer after shutting down.
Follow instructions in your User Manual to access main board.
Discharge body static by touching metal frame of computer.
Remove plastic clip that covers battery on main board.
Lift out old battery; note position of "+" end.
Fit new battery observing polarity.
Replace clip and reassemble computer.

The capacitors used by the Nortel BCM200 on the Mother Board are made by Lelon Electronics, which is one of the Taiwanese manufacturers that was cited as having bought a dodgy batch of electrolyte. Prevention is cheaper than cure and if you don't replace these capacitors now you may find that one of them will explode and kill the power supply unit as well!

This kit might also fit other similar models but we can't advise.
Kit contains 2 x 1200uF and 10 x 2200uF high quality capacitors.
