The replacement modulator uses a different chip set and because of this the software in the receiver needs to recognise the new modulator. To this end a 0R0 link (or piece of wire) should be fitted to circuit ref PL5001 on the main PCB. This will then enable the receiver to recognise the modulator. In addition, the receiver needs to be returned to the factory for a firmware upgrade, without which the modulator won't work.   ©2004-2011 SatCure
