Fold back the copper braid over the remaining outer sheath and tear off the exposed copper foil. Carefully cut around the white plastic surrounding the centre wire and remove the exposed section, leaving 3 mm still in place. Coat the exposed copper wire and copper braid with silicone grease to prevent corrosion in the future. Slide the copper wire into the screw terminal and tighten the screw gently. Using snub-nose pliers, gently squeeze the metal saddle flanges towards each other until the cable is gripped but not crushed. If you feel this is not secure enough, fasten a small cable-tie around the saddle flanges. Cut off the exposed copper wire. Coat exposed metal parts with silicone grease and replace cover. DAB transmissions are vertically polarised so the aerial is best mounted vertically, unless you particularly need to "null out" an interference source, in which case you'd mount it horizontally and rotate it to find the optimum position.
