| If you have an earlier style minidish with an arm aperture measuring 28 x 18.5 mm you will need to use our alternative AP0204806 bracket. The LNB neck is slightly narrower than the bracket hole so take a length of self-amalgamating tape* and peel off the backing. Stretch the tape and wind it evenly around the LNB neck. Fit the bracket and set the "skew" angle of the LNB. In most of the UK it will need to be hanging so that it is at a "twenty-to" position when viewed from in front of the dish. Please read our other LNB notes. *Apply Vaseline to the tape once fitted. This should allow rotation of the LNB. If you find the tape is still too sticky to allow the LNB to be rotated, you can use PVC tape instead. Brackets for very early style dishes (e.g. "Channel Master") are no longer available. However, it should be possible to fit the MK4 LNB plastic channel over the old dish arm then slide it back and forth to determine the optimum focal position (highest signal reading). Hold it in place temporarily with tape or cable ties. Drill a hole and secure it with a self-tapping screw or with a nut and bolt. |
